Il Gabbiano - L'incontro
Inferno is the smallest of the four Valtellina Superiore DOCG sub-zones. The name recalls the steeply sloping position of the Nebbiolo vineyards and the high summer temperatures, caused by the reflection of the sun on the rocks. The wine is a majestic expression of this hard-to-obtain wine. Intense, subtle and elegant on the nose, with hints of small red fruit, wild berries in jam and lots of sweet spices. On the palate, it is austere, structured, fresh, sapid and vibrant, with dense and lively tannins.
